2005 Year 8 French Trip

From Cherbourg, we headed South and drove through the beautiful Bocage of Normandy, wondering how it had looked 60 years ago. Upon arrival at the campsite in Hauteville, we ate our first meal and then started our activities. The week went all too quickly and everyone attempted High ropes, Kayaking, Kite flying, Boogie boarding, Treasure hunting, Raft-building, Fencing and of course, speaking some French!

De Cherbourg, Nous sommes allés vers le sud et nous avons conduit à travers du Boçage en Normandie en demandant comment c'était il y a 60 ans. On est arrivé au camping à Hauteville, nous avons mangé notre premier répas et puis nous avons commencé nos activités. La semaine s'est vite passée et tout le monde a essayé La corde d'en haut, le kayak, Le cerf-volant le mini-surf, la chasse au trésor, la construction d'un raft, l'escrime et bien-sur, parler le français.

Our last day included a walk around Cherbourg, a visit to a huge aquarium and the French nuclear submarine 'Le Redoutable'. Finally, we stopped at the Hypermarché 'Auchan' for vital supplies before crossing the channel once again. Everyone agreed, five days was not enough!

Notre dernier jour a inclus un marche autour de Cherbourg, une visite a un aquarium enorme et le sous-marin nuclear 'Le Redoutable'. Enfin, nous sommes arrêtés à l'hypermarché 'Auchan' pour les courses essentielles avant de traverser La Manche encore une fois. Tout le monde était d'accord: Cinq jours n'étaient pas assez!
