2005 Super Schools On Friday 4th March 2005, Ben Brown - 2002 Commonwealth Games Gold medallist in Gymnastics came to Swanmead to demonstrate his skills and lead a short training session with each class.

2004 Southern Asia Earthquake Appeal Events Following the tragic events in Southern Asia resulting from the tsunami on 26th December 2004, the school held various events to give the students a chance to reflect on the disaster and to enable them to help raise money for those in need.
